Comparative Tasting of Malbec Wines
Kirkland House JCR Cambridge, MA
Harvard wine lovers, both undergrads and alumni, come together in the Kirkland House JCR for a two-hour tasting session of Malbec wines. A representative from Cahors, France -- the home of Old World Malbec -- will lead the discussion, which will be complemented by a tasting and discussion of New World Malbec wines from Argentina. The tasting is educational and experimental in format, and the atmosphere invites socializing among members of Harvard's wine-loving community. Proceeds from ticket sales to this event will benefit the January trip to Lyon with the Harvard Alumni in Wine and Food Special Interest Group. On this trip, eight undergraduates with a focused professional interest in food and wine will spend a week exploring the heart of France's culinary tradition.
