Architecture Matters / Design Forum: Design as it Relates to Context and Program
AIA CENTRAL VALLEY
ARCHITECTURE MATTERS l Design Forum December 2009

Join hosts Saxon Sigerson, AIA Arturo Levenfeld, AIA and Kris Barkley, AIA for a casual evening of design presentations and discussion centered around three architecturally significant contemporary buildings.

As a follow-up to our first Design Forum in August we will be exploring different facets of contemporary architecture by comparing three significantly different buildings: St. Marys Cathedral in San Francisco; Our Lady of Angels Cathedral in Los Angeles and the Seattle Public Library.

The evenings emphasis will be an open forum discussion of design as it relates to context and program by exploring the architects design solutions. Are these projects timeless in nature? Do they offer an aesthetic that supports their program? Or does either of these traits really matter?
