Captured Aural Phantasy Theater teams up with the legendary Famous Monsters of Filmland to present DAY OF THE DEAD SPOOKTACULAR at the historic El Cid for 1 night only Sunday, November 2! It's a vintage spook show themed around Day of the Dead, Halloween, comic books, Famous Monsters - even luchadores!

The perfect ending to Halloween festivities, our terrifying live variety show features multi-media, radio show-style performances of vintage horror comic book stories and other spine-chilling tales combined with elements of an old time spook show. The night includes live music, ghostly effects, weird magic acts, sultry singing and a monstrous séance. See a girl cut in half! We'll even raffle off a dead body!
DAY OF THE DEAD SPOOKTACULAR marks another in Captured Aural Phantasy Theater's exclusive monthly collaboration with Famous Monsters magazine to bring their brand of classic horror and sci-fi to life on stage! The DAY OF THE DEAD SPOOKTACULAR brings select tales of terror to you, giving them an absurd spin in our signature variety show format. Captured Aural Phantasy Theater is excited to build on our busy summer that included a panel and featured performance at Comic-Con in San Diego!
We always start the show at 8:30pm, but doors open at 7:30 so audiences can begin with El Cid's brand new tapas menu and superb cocktails. This Halloween weekend, revel in the venue's moody 100 year-plus history. Enjoy our show, music and booze!
