Harvard Club 2009 Holiday Open House

The Harvard Club of the Research Triangle invite members and their guests to a Holiday Open House on Thursday evening, December 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Join us at a beautiful private Chapel Hill residence for an evening of good fellowship, good music and delicious hors-doeuvres. Beverages including wine and beer will be served.
Upon this occasion, the club will present our annual Roland Giduz Harvard Club of the Research Triangle Community Service award to William Bill Friday, former president of the UNC System, for his lifetime of service to the citizens of North Carolina. He will be the first person honored with this award following its initial presentation to Roland Giduz in 2008. Mr. Friday will be present to receive the award.
Music will be provided by Scott Sawyer. Scott has entertained audiences in jazz clubs, private parties and music festivals locally and around the world since 1983. He has shared the stage with notable artists (including Nnenna Freelon and Charlie Byrd) and has an extensive repertoire of jazz, standards, Bossa Nova, ballads and blues, pop and, of course, holiday favorites.
Reservations Required: The cost for this very special event is: $25 for each Harvard Club member and each guest. Reservations will be accepted on line. There will be a small service charge added to the price of each reservation. After paying for your reservation on-line, please contact Chris Whyte via email (cwhyte@mindspring.com) or phone (919-933-6951) for directions to the open house. Also please provide the names of your guests, if any.
Space is limited. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, so act quickly. The deadline for reservations will be Monday, December 1.
