Permaculture is more than just good gardening.  It is a life-long approach to analyses, actions and social structures that results in better
relationships, more functional systems and a clearer understaning of everything necessary for human communities to thrive  C. Joseph

This fast-paced course covers traditional permaculture topics used in whole systems design such as energy, climate, shelter, community, food, waste streams and water management, utilizing current information in the media and practical knowledge from traditional sources. To step into the rapid transition that is happening right now, the emphasis is on social cooperation and positive change, demonstrated with physical models and hands-on learning opportunities.

The Old Stone House is the site of the Battle of Brooklyn, one of the earliest and largest battles of the Revolutionary War.  Soil building and bioremediation techniques are at the forefront of our historically referenced gardens, planted for food, medicine, craft material, wildlife habitat and storm-water absorption.
