PLAIN AND FANCY (1955)
A musical in the Rodgers and Hammerstein tradition, Plain and Fancy revolves around the cultural collision that occurs when two New York sophisticates find themselves lost in the Pennsylvania Amish country. Joseph Stein (Fiddler on the Roof) and Will Glickman's book features songs by Albert Hague (Redhead) and Arnold Horwitt.
The vividly atmospheric score includes the hit Young and Foolish, as well as This is All Very New to Me, It's a Helluva Way to Run a Love Affair, and It Wonders Me.
