Thanksgiving Centerpieces from your Garden
This class will use traditional floral foam and bowls, but also talk about alternative vessels. Concepts of anchoring, greening, texture and flower placement will be covered, as well as how to use what is naturally in your garden this time of year. Participants will learn how to create a Thanksgiving centerpiece using materials from their garden, both fresh & dried, in a floral foam base. Both mechanics & principals of design will be discussed.
Flower Farmer, Michelle Elston owns & manages Roots Flower Farm, a Carlisle cut flower farm that sells all its product within a 50 mile radius of Carlisle. She loves seasonally inspired design and uses only flowers grown on the farm in her design work. The creative challenge of finding beauty in all seasons is what sets Roots apart.
