High Point Neighborhood Center: A Green Revolution in the Making
The Seattle Architecture Foundation and Cascadia's Seattle chapter salute non-profit sustainable design to support strong communities. To celebrate the grand opening of High Point Neighborhood Center we are presenting a free hard Hat Tour of this ground breaking project before it is open to the public.
The 20,000 square foot project features the largest solar panel array atop a building in the entire state of Washington. 256 photovoltaic panels and a ground source heat pump will provide green energy to the center that is designed to meet LEED Gold standards.
Architects Sally Knodell, LEED AP and Matt Eaton with Environmental Works will give us a sneak peek at the Center and provide expertise on non-profit environmental design.
The tour is Monday, November 9th at 10:30 a.m. and it begins at the High Point Neighborhood Center, 6400 Sylvan Way, SW, Seattle, WA 98126. This tour is FREE but spaces are limited and you must register in advance.
