"Pinay" is a word coined to identify women of Philippine descent. Pinay sa Seattle is an all volunteer organization of Filipinas organizing women of Philippine descent. We work in solidarity with other progressive women's organizations in the Seattle area to build community through education, cultural work, leadership development, advocacy and campaigns. Pinay is also part of a broader people's movement, the National Democratic movement in the Philippines, which defends the rights and welfare of the Filipino people, and fights for genuine democracy and sovereignty of the country against US imperialism.
