Avian Utopia: Gardening for Life Indoor Field Trip with Connie Sidles Saturday, Nov. 15th 1pm-2:30pm FREE Registration Required Ages 12 and up Your garden, as lovely and inviting to humans as it is, can be as lovely and inviting to our resident and migrating birds. Find out how to enhance your garden to attract a wide range of native birds in all seasons. Connie Sidles will present a slides that show you the most common birds you can attract to your yard. She will also give you tips on what kinds of native plants you can use to landscape your yard for birds and how you might supplement your environment with feeders and other aids. This indoor "field trip" is a perfect way to plan and spring and fantasize about how to make your garden a part of a wild ecosystem that will give you endless hours of pleasure. Connie Sidles is a master birder and long-time member of Seattle Audubon Society. She has written four books about nature focusing on her favorite "backyard," Montlake Fill on the UW campus. She is a board member of Friends of Yesler Swamp and leads numerous walks through these sites. She is eager to share her garden stories with you and hear yours in return.
