Brew City Improv: Long-form intro Workshop
Join instructor and improviser Mike Kauth for some Long-Form improv training. During the class you will have fun learning to effectively build scenes around your comic ideas & premises based on suggestions and stories. The class will focus on supporting each other and exploring the creative and exhilarating style of long-form.
This workshop consists of 2 two-hour sessions on Sunday October 26th & November 2nd from Noon-2pm. The price is $40, Class size is limited so sign up soon!
Classes will be at The Underground Collaborative, 161 W. Wisconsin Ave., Lower level of the Grand Ave Mall (level below TJ Maxx).
About the Instructor...
Mike Kauth began his improv training at ComedySportz Milwaukee where he quickly became a regular performer/Instructor and was Artistic Director. From there he went on to train at IO in Chicago and was an original member of the Harold team "Children of God". Mike later moved out to Los Angeles where he was lucky and excited to learn at the UCB Theatre training center. After moving back to Milwaukee, he got to learn from one of his comedy idols, Kevin McDonald from the Kids in the Hall, when Kevin came to teach a comedy writing workshop. Mike has also gotten to perform at the Toronto Improv Festival, Chicago Sketchfest and the Milwaukee Comedy Festival. Mike has had the pleasure of performing with the Midnite Show, Old Milwaukee and was a founding member of the sketch and improv group The Gentlemen's Hour. One of Mike's favorite improv achievements is coaching the Long-Form improv team- Limbo!
