"Hafu" film screening with director Q&A NYC 10/3/14
Join the Hapa Happy Hour group for a screening of "Hafu - the mixed race experience in Japan." The screenings have been packed in cities around the world including Tokyo, Paris, Venice, Copenhagen, and many more.
It's one of the best films about exploring multiethnic identity. And while it focuses on Japan, the stories in the film will resonate with anyone who identifies as hapa, multiracial, multicultural, international, or who is just interested in changing cultural identities around the world.
We will be fortunate to welcome director Megumi Nishikura, who will answer questions from the audience after the film.
Details: Friday, October 3rd, 2014 6:45-9:00pm (film starts at 7:00pm) At the "Women Make Movies" space 115 West 29th Street, Suite 1200 (between 6-7 ave) New York, NY Tickets are $10
This is a private screening (only 20 tickets available), so advance tickets are recommended!
For more information about the film (including a trailer), please visit the official website - http://www.hafufilm.com
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you there.
Nina, Barbara, and Ken (from Hapa Happy Hour).
