THE GOOD LIE

SUNDAY

6:30PM

at the Museum of Tolerance
A Simon Wiesenthal Center Museum
9786 West Pico Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA  90035

They were known simply as "The Lost Boys."  Orphaned by the brutal civil war in Sudan that began in 1983, these young victims traveled as many as a thousand miles on foot in search of safety.  Fifteen years later, a humanitarian effort would bring 3600 lost boys and girls to America.

In THE GOOD LIE, Philippe Falardeau, writer and director of the Oscar-nominated Foreign Language film Monsieur Lazhar brings the story of their survival and triumph to life.  Sudanese actors Arnold Oceng, Ger Duany, Emmanuel Jal, and newcomer Kuoth Wiel, some of whom were also children of war, star alongside Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) and Corey Stoll in a film written by Margaret Nagle, writer of the award-winning HBO projects Boardwalk Empire and Warm Springs. THE GOOD LIE is produced by Academy Award winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind), Karen Kehela Sherwood, Molly Smith, Thad Luckinbill and Trent Luckinbill.

Q&A with actors Arnold Oceng, Ger Duany, Emmanuel Jal, Kuoth Wiel and Sarah Baker, producers Molly Smith, Thad Luckinbill and Trent Luckinbill and screenwriter Margaret Nagle following the screening.

Exclusively for MOT members.  No charge.  RSVP required.  Register below (you may only register once for a maximum of 2 tickets).

THE GOOD LIE will be released on October 3, 2014
