A Slice of Boston History: Curious Tales from the Annals of the Omni Parker House
Join us to hear from Omni Parker House Historian Susan Wilson on her delightfully anecdotal and lavishly illustrated new book, Heaven, By Hotel Standards.
The author will share an array of stories and images from this iconic historic hotel, which opened in downtown Boston 159 years ago. Parker House Rolls, Ho Chi Minh, Malcolm X, Eleanor Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, John Wilkes Booth, and Mark Twain are all here ... along with plenty of other savory tales. This program is FREE and open to the public, which is made possible by funding from the Lowell Institute.
The doors open at 6:00pm for OSMH members and 6:15pm for the general public. Book sales & signing to follow the lecture.
Samples of the famed Parker House Boston Cream Pie provided by the Omni Parker House.
