Bemidji Symphony Orchestra presents "Bach, Rach and Bolero"
Piano virtuoso Andreas Klein is featured on Rachmaninoff's exquisite "Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini." Also on the program is Bach/Stokowski's Toccata and Fugue in D minor and Ravel's hypnotic "Bolero." This will be an afternoon of some of the most well-loved and memorable pieces of classical music ever written! Dr. Beverly Everett conducts.
German-born pianist Andreas Klein has distinguished himself as a dynamic and compelling performer with a wide-ranging command of tonal colors and imaginative interpretations. His career has taken him to the world's most prestigious venuesfrom London's Wigmore Hall to New York's Carnegie and Alice Tully Halls and Washington DC's Kennedy Center. He has received critical acclaim for performances in major cities such as Berlin, Rome, Milan, Bern, Leipzig, Dresden, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, Cleveland, Damascus, and Mexico City.
