About our musicians:

Stephen Steinbrink

Stephen Steinbrink (b. May 1st, 1988) is an experimental pop songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and recording engineer born and raised in Arizona and currently residing in Olympia, Washington. Stephen began his career in the mid-2000's, creating music with the band French Quarter. lAs a prolific and consistent songwriter committed to his art form, Stephen has recorded 6 full length albums, and a scattering of short run EPs and singles on a variety of formats. His newest collection of songs, Arranged Waves, will be released on July 14th, 2014 by the Manchester-based label Melodic Records. Frequently on tour, Stephen has performed in North America and Europe.

Ever Ending Kicks

Fronted by Paul Adam Benson of Anacortes, WA, by way of Mountain Home, AR. Infusing contemporary pop idioms and extreme minimalism, EEK expresses meaning through seemingly capricious musical choices that make you wonder what you should expect from pop music in the first place. Paul also plays in Hungry Cloud Darkening and LAKE.

American Culture

Their music and band has been described as such:
Bubblegum-Noise//Powerpop-Anthems//Punk-People//Outsider-Pop
Pop music for introverts. Heartswelling bubblegum hooks & punk anthems to roll yr windows down to on the way to the mall/roller rink. In a coma since 1992. The music that we all grew up with as American wasteland kids. Music that got into our blood during those fragile and formative years. The soundtracks to when we first tried drugs, cut class, had sex, became who we are. When ever that may have been.

They live out in the desert near four corners (where Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico meet.) There are no other bands there. No other references. They really like Guided By Voices, Jesus and Mary Chain and Dinosaur Jr. And also powerpop bands like The Plimsouls, The Shoes and The Records. They don't really want the world to know who they are, personally. Just as a band. Just the music. We even had a hard time tracking them down for this. The tracks and art come to us on a CDR in an envelope with no return address. We have only e-mailed with them. Never spoken. They ask (politely) for no photography during their rare live shows. Usually in houses or basements.
