 Acclaimed San Francisco based sketch comedy troupe Kasper Hauser marks the publication of its catalog parody, "SkyMaul: Happy Crap You Can Buy from a Plane," with a live sketch comedy show at Re-bar. Seattle favorite Dusty Warren will open.
Kasper Hauser's "SkyMaul," which has received advance praise from Dave Barry, Patton Oswalt, Fred Willard, George Saunders, and David Foster Wallace, among others, is an edgy and often outrageous piece of satire that takes aim at the ubiquitous in-flight shopping magazine.
Kasper Hauser's latest live stage show draws on "SkyMaul's" collection of surreal and absurd products(the Banana-ganizer; the Combination Baby Stroller/Lawn Mower; the Reality-Canceling Headphones) and integrates classic and brand-new Kasper Hauser characters into an original performance.
Dusty Warren has been performing comedy in Seattle since 2000, with the groups "Some Kind of Cult," "Flaming Box of Stuff," and "Champagne." He has performed his one-man show, "All-American Push Up Party," at HBO showcases in LA and NY, and the Seattlest calls the show "funny as hell...a masterpiece."
The Kasper Hauser Comedy Group is Rob Baedeker, Dan Klein, James and John Reichmuth. They have headlined many of the best comedy clubs and festivals in the U.S. and won the Herald Angel at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The group's members have appeared on Comedy Central and wrote and starred in the feature films "Fishing with Gandhi" and "Cow Monkey."
