 Boom!!! Well we have romped right in and made ourselves at home at Element. Thank you all for coming out in force for Sub Swara013, another fiercely inspired night. Biggest ups to esteemed guests Freq Nasty and David Starfire for dropping smacked-up floor-igniting sets, to Juakali for ripping up the mic, and to Skip Intro and 3rd I Films for providing compeling visual support. The Sub Swara monthly has emerged as the definitive home for low-frequency high-vibration culture in NYC.
Join us on Friday, December 1st for Sub Swara014, as we round out an astounding year with an east-west sound clash of epic proportions:
SUB SWARA vs. GLITCH MOB
In the home corner -- The Sub Swara posse weighs in with the hard-hitting trio of Dhruva, Sunder, and Haj, heavy-weight MC Juakali and Pictureman on visual attack. 'International Bass Fueled Beats and Breaks', with live tablas, turntablism, Ragga vocals, and deep visual mixology. A barrage of genre defying sonics spanning crushing breaks, chubby dubstep, nasty grime, mid-tempo glitch, digi-dancehall, and much more big speaker biz.
In the visitors corner The Glitch Mob comes out swinging, as individual superstars edIT, Kraddy, and Boretta join forces, and freestyle maestro Souleye enters the fracas with his lyrical jujitsu. These boys have been straight tearing up the west coast underground circuit with their crunked-out glitch-injected hip-hop, massiv dancehall riddims, & lush IDM. After running things at Burning Man this summer the Glitch Mob is poised and primed to make their very live and highly anticipated NYC debut.

There won'ÃÂt be a Sub Swara event in NYC in January, so be sure to come out and get your fix. Look out for us in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve throwing down with the Space Island crew. Keep it locked. We will be back in NYC with thunder in '07 as we resume First Fridays at Element with another massive line-up on Feb. 2nd.
