The I Hate Children Children's Show
The I Hate Children Children's Show is the ultimate magic show for families. The show stars the meanest man in the world played by Paul Nathan (HBO, MTV, Star Trek Voyager). Nathan is one of the top magicians working in the world today. He plays the scoundrel but ultimately delivers the most well thought out children's show imaginable while keeping parents engaged and in stitches from beginning to end.
The plot of the show is that Nathan lost a bet and has to do a kiddy show in Sacramento. The plot is broad enough to leave room for play and Nathan does. The goal of the show is to get every child in the audience up on stage to help out with the magic. With packed houses this seems like an impossible task but somehow Nathan manages to pull it off with time for a personal insult for each child and even some of the parents.
The magic tricks are puzzling, impossible, and engaging but the real show is the kids. Despite being "the meanest man in the world" Nathan makes every kid a star letting them get laughs and take the applause without ever talking down to them.
The setting for the show is Laughs Unlimited in historic Old Sacramento. Laughs is Sacramento's premiere comedy club. Not only is there a full bar for adults but delicious snacks as well.
