The Mysteries Of The Deep ambient podcast has evolved greatly over the last two years. An array of mixes from a diverse group of artists, have taken a small idea and transformed it into something truly unique. For the next chapter in this story, we present a live sensory event.

Moving and breathing like a living entity, the music of RROSE channels the spirit of techno's roots while injecting influences from experimental electronic music and the avant-garde. Focusing on the tactile qualities of sound and gradual, interconnected transformations, RROSE spins a mesmerizing web of rhythm and noise to create a truly cerebral experience. For Mysteries she will present a special experimental live set, including new material intently focused on the listening environment.
RICARDO DONOSO is a composer, percussionist and electronic musician from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil who currently resides in Boston. After having studied composition at Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory he has participated in a slew of projects over the years, most notably playing drums for avant-death metal unit Ehnahre and being one half of the ever morphing experimental electronic duo Perispirit. Ricardo's musical vocabulary draws as much from contemporary composition, drone, to techno and noise. Whether on his multifaceted albums or in live performance Donoso's main interest lies in building and manipulating an immersive sound world that blurs the line between light & dark, hope & despair and the past & future creating a truly timeless & transcendent experience.
He has released music on esteemed labels such as Digitalis, Further Records and Hospital Productions and has toured throughout North America, Europe & Asia. His first three albums Progress Chance (2011), Assimilating The Shadow (2012) and As Iron Sharpens Iron, One Verse Sharpens Another (2013) were widely celebrated by specialized vehicles such as FACT, Clash and Resident Advisor. Pitchfork Media called it: "dream-state dance music," while Exclaim (CA) called it "one of the most compelling and satisfying electronic albums of the year" which culminated with performances at the illustrious Sonar Festival in both its Barcelona & Sao Paulo editions in 2012. His music has been described as a sort of 'anti-techno' where polyrhythmic structures and meticulous textures blur any semblance of a bar line, instead collapsing in on itself for moments of striking isolation.
An active veteran of Detroit's techno history, PATRICK RUSSELL is also known for his exceptional taste in ambient and experimental music. Mysteries Of The Deep VI was Russell's layout of psychedelic rhythms guided by sonic imagery rather than beats, rich with productions spanning the genre's entire spectrum. His recent podcast for the avant-electronic record label Ghostly International revealed a sinister angle to the narrative started in Mysteries VI. With our podcast's caliber of artists growing parallel to its followers, Patrick Russell is a key figure in the inception, development and future of Mysteries Of The Deep.
DAVID SISKA is the co-host of Sonic Sunset, a globally acclaimed mix show dedicated to connecting eras and blurring lines between genres in electronic music. After DJing for over a decade on the airwaves and in the sweaty lofts and clubs of Chicago, David has continued his musical mission in San Francisco, where he weaves varied sets culled from the best of his deep musical archives.
.THEJASS. is a DJ, Visual Artist, and Video Director whose underworld creations take a firm place in the dark subconscious. Experimental electronic music that is built up with cinematic soundscapes, taken down with deep ambient, then dragged around with drone metal, a .thejass. DJ mix creates a haunting experience for the mind. With DJ sets around NYC gaining attention, .thejass. DJ mixes have been showcased nationally on Proton Radio, East Village Radio, and Newtown Radio culminating in .thejass. first international gig in July 2013 to play Richie Hawtin's ENTER. opening party at Space Club in Ibizia Spain. In the near future .thejass. will be releasing audio works of art combining the two worlds of techno music and drone metal into a style .thejass. calls "Murdered Out Techno".
Abby Echiverri & Patrick Jass film organic materials and chemical synthesis, focusing on the abstract beauty of every day objects. Taking cues from bio art and minimalism, these images will be layered with live analog video synthesis and generative visuals.
