1937 was one hell of a year, especially in Kansas City - Boss Tom Pendergast was under investigation; a sit down strike raged at the Ford Motor Plant; A. Phillip Randolph, President of the Brotherhood of Pullman Porters, met at the Paseo Baptist Church; the CIO was on the rise.
A humorous, dramatic, inspiring and fact based take on class, race and gender struggles during the last Great Depression.
