This is Cole's third appearance at The Lizard Lounge and he just keeps getting better and better. With his band The People's Republic, they play a mix of funk, neo-soul, blues, and jazz. They are looking to spread a positive social message with a phat groove.
Ramzy Suleiman is a pianist, vocalist and songwriter born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area. His music is born out of classic rhythm and blues, and motivated by extensive experience playing funk and jazz. The music is groove-heavy and soulful, and intellectually organized by Ramzys training in jazzsort of like MMW and Otis Redding in a boxing match refereed by Thelonius Monk.
The Boston Boys is a new band of musicians emerging from the hotbed of talented young players in the hip Boston music scene. Featuring Eric Robertson, Nate Leath, Sam Grisman, Stash Wyslouch, and Nick Falk, all band members are either students at or Alumni of the prestigious Berklee School of Music. The Boston Boys sound is contemporary roots rock, blending reverence for the Beatles and the energy of the Avett Brothers with hints of Appalachian string band music. Purchase their debut album, "Listen", on www.thebostonboys.com and stay tuned to find out where you can see the Boston Boys live!
