Center Stage Productions Presents: The Importance of Being Earnest
The Importance of Being Earnest by: Oscar Wilde Directed by: Eden Rea-Hedrick
September 12 - 27th Friday & Saturday @ 7:30 PM Matinee: September 20th @ 2:00 PM
Set among the English upper class in the late 1890's, Oscar Wilde's last and most brilliant comedy tells the tale of Algernon Moncrieff, a carefree young man who encourages his more serious friend Ernest to lighten up. But when Algy learns that Ernest is in fact not Ernest at all, a train of increasingly hilarious events is set into motion that will test the integrity, ideals, and patience of everyone involved. Wilde's lively play features a vibrant cast of comedic characters, as well as some of the funniest and most often-quoted quips in the English language.
