Musicians Tribute to Pete Douglas - Day 2
From 1 to 7 pm over two days Oct 4 & 5, the Douglas Beach House in Half Moon Bay will be teaming with grateful musicians and audiences to celebrate Pete Douglas' lifelong commitment to music -- beach hipster style.
Mr. Douglas, who passed away on July 12th this year, will be remembered for his dedication to providing a place for music of the highest quality -- mostly jazz, but also classical and world. It is commonly recognized in the musician community that the environment he created inspired them to fulfill his wish for an inspiring performance, full of creativity and fire.
As booker Reggie Marshall, put it: Pete was a passionate advocate that music is best experienced in intimate, informal settings. He created such a warm and welcoming vibe for the musicians and the audience. There was no sense of separation between one and the other, it was all one big family . . .
A minimum $25 reservation is required. Donations above this amount will help fund a permanent memorial such as re-naming Cortez to Douglas Way.
