Suburbia Roller Derby Whips It: Club Scouts vs. Teachers' Pests

Suburbia Roller Derby returns to the Yonkers P.A.L. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 for another series of bouts. Your favorite Suburbia girls will split up into teams to celebrate the release of Drew Barrymore's new roller derby film, "Whip It!"

Go see the movie when it opens October 2nd then come on down to the Yonkers P.A.L. and get a taste of some live roller derby action - of the flat track variety. This time it's the Club Scouts vs. the Teacher's Pests and it's going to be a great night out in Yonkers!

Music as always by DJ Lucky 7s and halftime entertainment by World Champion Double Dutch team The Jazzy Jumpers of P.S. 323 in Brooklyn.

Suburbia is keeping the same ticket prices as last year and with our return to the P.A.L. we have more trackside VIP seating, beer for sale, and V.I.P. waitress service. Proof of ID is required to purchase alcohol.

The Police Armory League (P.A.L. - Iris and Martin Yashin Center) is located at 120 N. Broadway (Rt. 9) in Yonkers, NY. Doors open at 6 PM and the bout starts at 7 PM.

General Admission - floor, chair or bleacher seating.

VIP Seating - Trackside seat, goodie bag and VIP waitress service.

Kids under 8 are free in GA seating!

A parking lot is available!!

Directions:

Take the Saw Mill Parkway to Exit 9, Executive Boulevard. Go straight through the traffic light and up the hill. Continue through two more lights until Executive ends at Route 9. Take a left at the light to head down Route 9 south. Continue for three miles until you reach the light at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 9A (Ashburton Avenue). Continue straight through this light and the PAL is located on the right. It is also about 1/2 mile from the Yonkers Metro-North train station (cab recommended).
