18 Reasons San Francisco, CA
A former pasta master at Quince Restaurant, Andrew Pimlott knows a thing or two about creating restaurant-quality pasta at home. In this two-part class hell show you how, with minimal time, anyone can whip up fresh pasta for themselves or impress friends at a dinner party. In this class, you'll learn and practice pasta-making skills that can be used time and time again.
Session 1 on 11/10: Pasta Dough In this first gathering Andrew will talk about different pasta doughs with an overview of their ingredients, textures, and uses. You will get to practice mixing dough by hand and with an electrical mixer. Youll also explore hand-shaping orecchiette, making flat noodles with a rolling pin and hand-cranked pasta machine, and hand cutting noodles with a knife.
Session 2 on 11/17: Filled Pastas In this second gathering Andrew will discuss the world of filled pastas. You will get to make a variety of filled pastas in different shapes, including: tortelloni, ravioli, and agnolotti. You'll taste everything made in the class and leave with full confidence, hands-on experience, and a cheat sheet in case you forget.
