Torn Ribbons by Naomi Newman
Traveling Jewish Theatre San Francisco, CA
Wartime. Past, present or future. An unnamed village. One unforgivable act. Eight human beings struggle to survive the damage. Influenced by Brecht and TJT's eclectic style, part fable and parable, Newman's new play tells the story of a group of people torn between demands for retribution and hopes for reconciliation. Presented as part of TJT's New Play Workshop Readings, co-commissioned by the Magic Theatre and Z Space New Works Initiative.
