Death and the Maiden by Ariel Dorfman
On weekends in September, LTP will be presenting a full production of Death and the Maiden by noted Argentinian-Chilean writer Ariel Dorfman.
The play is a searing drama in which a stranger visits the isolated country home of Paulina and her magistrate husband Gerardo. Paulina is convinced that this guest is the doctor who tortured and raped her repeatedly when she was imprisoned by the former right wing dictatorship. She quickly turns the tables on the doctor as makes him her prisoner much to the confusion and dismay of her husband and Dr. Miranda.
