Bright Box Comedy: Scott Bruce and Mike Stankiewicz [LATE SHOW]
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 - LATE SHOW Doors: 9:30pm | Show: 10:00pm
Kaleidoscope Comedy is proud to present an evening of laughter at Bright Box with some of the best stand up comedians in the business! Back by popular demand, for the month of September we feature the hilarious talents of Scott Bruce and Mike Stankiewicz!
SCOTT BRUCE It's hard to find a venue that has not taken advantage of Scott Bruce's many and varied talents. You may catch him on a cruise ship, at a nightclub in Las Vegas, or a Moose Lodge in rural Pennsylvania. The one thing you are guaranteed is a good time and a lot of laughs. His quick wit, adlibbing ability, and natural timing make not just a great comic, but also one of the most sought after MC's working today.
So many factors come together in Scott's background that have combined to create this unique performer. For example, he's a published author. Not one, not two, but three books are available on store shelves right now. Scott hosted the EMMY award winning PBS television show "The Pennsylvania Game". In between traveling the country, telling jokes, and writing books, he managed to start and run a successful business. It should come as no surprise that the business is a small chain of comedy clubs called Wise Crackers.
MIKE STANKIEWICZ Dig, it's appropriate that this cat has gigged in nearly every comedy venue in the United States. At home in an eclectic gathering in San Francisco or a rust belt bar come shifts end, this clever comic will turn the tables on everyone. Winner of the prestigious"Best of Philly" award presented by Philadelphia Magazine, Stank takes you down a road you didn't expect to travel with a conversational style that makes you feel like you're riding the bar stool next to him. Among his international television appearances including "Comedy On The Road" with John Byner on A&E, Mike presents a special wit that transcends all mediums and blows his audiences away! Maybe that's why everyone wants him back.
With his rust belt influence, his intellectual proclivity and a blue-collar approach to humor, he first turned Philadelphia on its ear, before taking his act on the road. Stank does for stand-up what Tom Waits does for music. So if you like Mr. Waits and have a penchant for Charles Bukowski, you'll love Mike Stankiewicz! He's a modern day Kerouac, hell, you probably passed him "on the road"!
