Description
Join us on September 18 for TAG's monthly speaker series and luncheon.

"I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."  Ronald Reagan famously characterized that as a scary phrase, but we're seeing a new era of cooperation between public and market forces.  Are you trying to grow your markets and your business as we recover and rebuild? Do you need help doing business offshore? Arranging credit? Expanding your workforce?  This panel discussion on business, credit and trade-assistance programs whose job is to help Whatcom businesses.

Panel participants include:

- Nancy Jordan, Exec Director of the Northwest Economic Council
- Tom Dorr, Exec Director of the Center for Economic Vitality
- Tim Schipke, President & CEO, Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington
- Anna Ehmark, Exec Director of TAG. [that would be us]

Between them, these four touch on many of the aspects of improving business cycles.  The Center for Economic Vitality provides extraordinary business counseling and research.  The Export Finance Assistance Center provides consulting and counseling on risk mitigation, assessing credit worthiness of buyers, and the all-important Getting Paid.  TAG, in addition to assisting local public entities with connection and understanding of local technology-enabled industries, connects the leaders and managers of those businesses to a wide range of resources.  The Northwest Economic Council orchestrates the regional economic strategy and connects businesses here to resources that help them expand and prosper.

This will be a popular meeting so please register as soon as possible. We encourage you to bring your questions or better yet send them to us in advance.
