The Secret Garden (Spring Version) Musical
Saint Bartholomew's "Art's at Bart's" presents The Secret Garden: Spring Version, a Samuel French musical by Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman.
Based on the beloved children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden follows Mary Lennox from a cholera epidemic in India to a vast and lonely manor house in England, where she learns about friendship, feelings, healing and faith from a delightful assortment of characters.
Scheduled for three performances, Saturday August 16 at 2 pm and 7 pm and Sunday, August 17 at 2 pm, The Secret Garden will delight all ages.
Tickets are $15 general and $10 youth/seniors, with children 5 and under free. Group family discounts are available. Additional tickets will be available at the door.
Production of the Secret Garden is supported by grants from the San Francisco Foundation, the City of Livermore Arts Commission, and Alameda County Stop Waste. Proceeds benefit the Big Heart Wellness Center (http://www.bigheartwellnesscenter.org/); a health fair featuring Center partner organizations and a garden composting demonstration will begin 30 minutes prior to both matinee performances.
