August 14-23 brings four long-time Alley Stage performers back together onstage for the first time in years for David Auburn's "Proof."  Robert (Roland Sardeson) is an ailing mathematics professor, cared for by his unstable daughter, Catherine (Ainsley Anderson).  Adding to the drama is Robert's protege, Hal (Caleb Stone), and his elder daughter Claire (Deb Baxter).  Bruce Bradley, of Spring Green, who directed last season's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" directs this amusing, awkward, and gut-wrenching exploration of what genius, resentment, and mental illness can do to a family. Shows are Thursday through Saturday, August 14-23rd at 7:30pm at Alley Stage.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.  The show contains adult themes and language and is not suitable for audiences younger than high school.
