Guido Girl by Marianne Ferrari
TADA Theatre New York, NY
From the deck of the Italian cruise liner, the Andrea Doria, to the lights of Broadway and beyond, Guido Girl is the story of one woman's struggle to realize her destiny, follow her dreams, and learn to forgive an oppressive past. How do you go forward when everyone else is holding you back? Or when the only one really standing in your way is . . . you? It's a feast of characters as we follow writer and performer Marianne Ferrari through her Fellini-meets-John-Patrick-Shanley-style tale, complete with all the accessories any Guido Girl could ever dream of . . . music, love, sex, ambition . . . and tanning, makeup, and boys.
