Burlesque 101 Workshop with Nona Narcisse

Burlesque 101 is the perfect class for the beginner. No matter your shape, size or experience all women are welcome. Burlesque 101 is an introduction and gives a taste of what burlesque performing is. Nona Narcisse is one of New Orleans' most captivating burlesque performers. She has the grace and timing of a classically trained dancer, with a rare kind of charm and charisma that is truly a joy to behold. She'll be teaching all things burlesque in a fun, entertaining, interactive, and enlightening workshop held at Dazzling Diva Fitness, located at 121 Weems Lane, Winchester, VA 22601.
Nona Narcisse is the founder of Slow Burn Burlesque. She's been a part of the vibrant New Orleans Burlesque scene since 2007 where she is known for her beautiful and graceful tributes to the infamous Storyville neighborhood and to the Mexican saint of death, Santa Muerte. Nona is quite the dancer and variety performer. She has trained since the age of four in the arts of ballet, modern dance, African dance, and belly dance, and has received theatre, clown, and mime training from the Celebration Barn Theater.
Nona currently splits her time between New Orleans and Baltimore, and travels, as a highly sought after performer with burlesque troupes all over the country. She has performed at events such as The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival, Tease-O-Rama, The New York Burlesque Festival, The Ascona Jazz Festival, Bourbon and Burlesque, Voodoo Music Experience, The Early Evening Show, and The Burlesque Ballroom. She is also a trained costumer and seamstress, as well as a massage and polarity therapist. Variety!
