Three Bands, Three Sundays in September. Come to Windrush Farm and enjoy pizza from the wood fired oven and real good music under the oak trees. Kids under 12 are Free Gate 3pm Show at 4 No Dogs
Windrush Farm is a Sheep Ranch, Farm Camp and Farm Education Facility. 3 miles outside of Petaluma. We love music community and sharing the farm at sunset.
Paul Knight and Friends September 28 Paul has been playing bluegrass in the Bay Area for 30 years and producing and providing sound for festivals the last 20. He is Peter Rowans bass player and his sound company provides sound for most of the Bluegrass Festivals in California. If you are professional banjo player you have heard of Paul Knight. Paul will be bringing friends to the farm and they will be fine pickers in the perfect environment for bluegrass.
Gaucho September 14 we base much of our repertoire in the music of Django Reinhart and the gypsy jazz of 1930's Europe, we also find inspiration in the rhythmic drive and collective improvisation of New Orleans swing music and the "gut bucket" sound. Gaucho is a first-rate ensemble, playing the music we love with boundless energy, passion, and humor.
T-Sisters September 21 Folk at heart, the T Sisters also draw heavily on elements of country, gospel, R&B, and fellow sibling bands like The Andrews Sisters and The Beach Boys. Produced and mentored by bluegrass legend Laurie Lewis, their debut album Kindred Lines is being released by Lewis' record label Spruce and Maple Music.
