San Francisco-based comedian and comedy producer, Lisa Geduldig, known for creating and producing San Francisco's Kung Pao Kosher Comedy: Jewish Comedy on Christmas in a Chinese Restaurant (now in its 17th year) returns to The Old Country (New York) to produce a one-night Jewish comedy night, "What Am I, Chopped Liver?"
Geduldig and her comedy production company, Kung Pao Kosher Comedy Presents, strive to produce unique multicultural, multi-everything comedy shows with a variety of annual shows: Kung Pao Kosher Comedy; Funny Girlz: A Smorgasbord of Women Comedians; The Color of Funny: A Multi-Culty Comedy Show, A Muslim, A Mormon, and A Jew Walk into a Bar: The Comedy of Religion: The shows are out of the norm, the line-ups are always a diverse cultural, gender, and sexual orientation mix, showcasing some of the country's funniest and most intelligent comics.
"What Am I Chopped Liver? features two New York-based Jewish comedians: Dan Ahdoot (Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central), Scott Blakeman (Just for Laughs, Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and Lisa Geduldig at the 99-seat Grand Theater at The Producers' Club.
DAN AHDOOT went to Johns Hopkins University and graduated with honors as a pre-med student. Shortly thereafter, he decided to take the secure route and ditch medicine for comedy; his parents are still thrilled. Dan has been featured on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, was a guest at the Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival, and was a finalist on Season 2 of NBC's Last Comic Standing. He has written for MTV's Short Circuits, Comedy Central's Crank Yankers, and A&E's Gene Simmons Roast. He has opened for Lewis Black, Jay Mohr, and Patton Oswalt, has been featured on ABC's 20/20, and is a regular on Jim Brueur's radio show Unleashed on Sirius Satellite. Dan is one of the highest booked college acts in the country, performing at well over 300 colleges. He also performs at corporate events for a variety of companies and organizations. His stage presence blends charm, likeability, and wit in a way that keeps crowds in stitches and at the same time, very comfortable. Dan's stand up act is based on his hilarious observations
about everyday life as a young, hip kid, coupled with his upbringing as a 1st generation Jewish Iranian American in Great Neck, LI. www.danahdoot.com
