Celebrating 40 Years of Midwifery: A Certified Nurse-Midwives Benefit with SambaDa and Silent Auction
On October 4, 2014 Santa Cruz community members will be gathering to celebrate 40 years of midwifery in Santa Cruz. Local members of the California Nurse-Midwives Association are organizing a fundraiser at Kuumbwa Jazz Center with live music by SamBaDa along with a silent auction from 12:30-4 PM.
We are grateful to live in a community that celebrates midwifery and in which women and families have access to quality midwifery care both in and outside of the hospital. As Nurse-Midwives in Santa Cruz we have collaborative relationships with obstetricians and other health care providers that facilitate a team approach to providing the best possible care for our clients. This is unfortunately not the case in many parts of California and we need your support in advocacy efforts to increase access to quality health services for women and families throughout our state.
If you have any questions, please contact us at CNMA.Monterey.Bay@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to seeing you on the dance floor!
Doors Open at 12:30 PM with silent auction, event starts at 1:O0 PM.
