The Jack Elwood Benefit Concert
A Benefit Concert is being held 12 PM to 4 PM on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at the Saddle Ridge Riding Center in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Concert will be held rain or shine
Jack Elwood, a 58-year-old retired Ridgewood High School teacher who resides in Oakland NJ was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis back in 2001. ALS, often referred to as Lou Gehrigs disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The Benefit Concert is dedicated to our Brother & friend Jack. All proceeds will be donated to Jack and his family in an attempt to alleviate the financial burden of Jacks current and future medical care. Jacks wife, Laura is a teacher at Smith School in Ramsey and his daughter attends Valley Middle School in Oakland.
The bands performing will be The Dan Brother Band & The Reddan Brothers Band. Admission at gate: $20.00 Children under 10: $ 5.00 Advanced tickets only available online at brownpapertickets.com There will be a tricky tray as well as a 50/50 raffle. Available for sale will be Hamburgers & Hot Dogs, plus soda & water. Please bring your lawn chair and or beach blankets.
