Video Pirates presents LYNCH 101
LYNCH 101 is a comedic video history of the film and television career of David Lynch compiled and hosted by PhilaMOCA's director/curator Eric Bresler. While the program will cover all of his major film and television achievements, it will mainly concentrate on rarities including Lynch's short films, music videos, commercials, and mainstream coverage of his work. From Japanese coffee-in-a-can commercials starring the cast of TWIN PEAKS to Lynch-shot film festival intros, LYNCH 101 is both a comprehensive introduction for the unfamiliar and a surprise-filled joyride for the die-hard fans.
Featuring special guest speakers: Bob Bruhin (Eraserhood.com), Robert Cozzolino (PAFA), Mano Divina (thereminist), Robert Hakalski (visual-machinery.com), Jesse Pires (International House), Duane Swierczynski (novelist), and comedian/Eraserhood Forever host Paul Triggiani.

About Video Pirates:
Video Pirates is Philly's premiere found footage comedy show, a one-man collective founded by Eric Bresler. Video Pirates has hosted and presented dozens of live programs with work screened at the International House, PhilaMOCA, and L.A.'s Cinefamily. Video Pirates programmed 40 separate events for the 2014 Cinedelphia Film Festival including a feature-length tribute to the career of Pia Zadora.

David Lynch programming is in conjunction with David Lynch: The Unified Field at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), the first major U.S. museum exhibition of PAFA alumnus David Lynch, on view September 13, 2014 to January 11, 2015. Organized in close collaboration with the artist, the exhibition features over 80 paintings and drawings from all periods of Lynch's career. It includes rarely-seen early work from Lynch's time in Philadelphia (1965-70), a critical period in his creative development.
