Green Funeral Fair
The forum culminates with a Green Funeral Fair at the church on Saturday, November 7th from 11-4p.m. In addition to viewing a noon procession, attendees will enjoy music by Kate Mungers Threshold Choir and other artists, decorate a bio-degradable casket, eat funeral biscuits, and have an opportunity to have a photo taken of themselves and their pet by photographer Nan Phelps.
The goal is to bring the topic of death and dying into the open so that we can better understand our natural life cycle, confront our mortality, and learn how to handle the practicalities of putting our affairs in order so that others may bid us a fond and fitting farewell.
