Red Soul Anti-Violence Gala and Benefit Show
Come enjoy an evening of delicious drinks and beautiful art, music, and dance to launch Red Soul Days, a weeklong multimedia event, at the Library at Market Street Pub, starting at 8:00 pm. The show benefits several anti-violence organizations; we suggest a donation of $5-10 at door.
This opening night gala is to introduce Gainesville to Red Soul Days, a week of topical and homegrown entertainment, from Aug. 16 to 23. Red Soul Days will raise awareness about sex & gender issues in the workplace, in schools, in media, and in interpersonal relationships, and allow its participants to share stories about gendered experience, sexuality, and encounters with prejudice in daily life.
All proceeds go to benefit Peaceful Paths, PFLAG Gainesville, and Break the Cycle, the beneficiaries of Red Soul Days. Red Soul Days' producer, Cerridwen Works, will be accepting donations to distribute to these organizations.
