Food and Happiness: Eating for optimal health and contentment
The city's a wild place to live. We all benefit from a weekend away to restore our balance and relax... but did you know that how you eat can affect your happiness too? We're not just talking eating healthy, we mean that there is a biological basis to moods and feelings... and specific foods affect how you feel!
Eating the right food is the key foundation to health and contentment. This
interactive workshop will combine food fresh from the farm with the latest science
on how food effects mood, focus, and memory.
Led by Drew Ramsey, MD, a psychiatrist, author and farmer, you'll learn how our forks are connected to our feelings. He'll also share the many secrets of kale.
After a healthy dose of background info, we'll snack our way to success, taste some farm fresh produce and make a BrainFoodRX salad that'll send us all skipping off through our week.
Can farm fresh food help make us more calm, vibrant, and happier? Just step into the farmacy to learn more!
