Latinitas Fest: Media Mania Conference
Date: August 21, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Camp Cost: $10 Early Registration until Aug 17; $15 after Aug 17
Location: UTEP Union, Tomas Rivera Center
Latinitas is partnering with the UTEP Women in Business Association to present El Pasos first annual Latinitas Fest: Media Mania Conference. This full-day multimedia festival is designed to encourage girls to build confidence and learn how to express themselves creatively through media, art, culture and technology. With hands-on media workshops, teens will learn about self-expression through writing, photography, audio production, poetry and film-making. Inspiring guest speakers will help El Paso girls learn about issues young girls face and discover real solutions on how to overcome challenges. An information fair will highlight community groups and teen resources. A fashion show featuring Dillards clothing along with live performances will be fun entertainment for all attendees!
