In this hilarious and horrifying comedy by the Five Lesbian Brothers, a murderous cult of Slim-Fast drinking, high-heel wearing, lingerie loving secretaries induct the new girl Patty into their office rituals. These women work together and play together and once a month they slaughter a lumberjack together. Will Patty resist the lure of the chainsaw?

THE SECRETARIES plummets audiences into the slimy underbelly of office work and female bonding. The irreverent (and bloody) comedy examines societys ever-expanding fascination with sex and violence and the ways in which women act as the enforcers of sexism.

Directed by Echo's Artistic Director Eric Little, THE SECRETARIES will feature the talents of Colleen Backer, Lavonne Byers, Julie Layton, Sara Renschen and Amanda Williford*.

The Five Lesbian Brothers are Maureen Angelos, Babs Davy, Dominique Dibbell, Peg Healey and Lisa Kron. They came together as a theatre company in 1989 after performing together in various other combinations at the OBIE Award-winning WOW Cafe.
