As the days shorten, we celebrate the onset of autumn. Renaissance madrigals mingle with selections from Randall Thompson's "Frostiana". Lili Boulanger's haunting "Soir sur la plaine" accompanies Eric Whitacre's delicate "Sleep." The vigor of Gyrgy Ligeti and light heart of Henk Badings recall the joyful aspects of nightfall. Brahms and Barber round out the program.
