In Fere
Youngstown Cultural Arts Center Seattle, WA
In Fere, pronounced 'in fear', explores the search for balance in modern life through experimental multimedia performance comprised of dance, live music and film. This special performance marks Manifold Motion's third production.
Moved by synchronicity found in a series of artworks, creators Keely Isaak Meehan and Luara Moore drew inspiration from art and literature depicting birds. The pair teamed with musicians and artists including DJ Waylon Dungan (WD4D), dancers Monica Gilliam and Bridget Gunning, harpist Monica Schley and video artist Leo Mayberry to create In Fere. Together they present a performance in two acts inspired by art spanning the works of Farid ud-Din Attar, Geoffrey Chaucer, Joseph Cornell and Jonathan Safran Foer.
