Meadow City Music Festival: Friday Tickets
The Meadow City Music Fest Lineup is a Winner
In its third year the Meadow City Music Fest hits its stride with diverse talent that appeals to a broad audience. Latin, Americana, country, contemporary, pop and rock will be delivered by talented performers with one goal in mind giving the audience an incredible weekend of music.
A taste of the excitement planned for the Meadow City Music Fest takes place on Friday, Aug. 15 from 5-7 p.m., when Los Tropicales, The Jimmy Stadler Band and Manzanares perform a free concert in Plaza Park prior to the ticketed event scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. in the El Rialto Patio. Saturday's ticketed concert begins at 8 p.m.
Celebrating music is a passion for each performer. Crossover artists in rock and country, Latin traditionalists, lively contemporary musicians and artists performing fusions of different genres will take the stage. Emcee and New Mexico comedian Joser Maestas will host the show and keep it moving from start to finish.
Free music and family fun throughout the day on Saturday features antique carnival rides, the Farmers' Market, mask making with Caroline Rackley, Las Vegas Taiko Drummers and lots of surprises. Among the scheduled performers are Carlos Medina & Los Gallos (norteno), Glenn Damian and Wayne Roper (country and rock) Jessica Young (singer and songwriter), Sweet 'n Sour (country), Low Down Daddies (blues), Highlands University music department (variety), and Fire & Rain (classic rock).
The free family-friendly fun continues on Sunday, Aug. 17 with Jake Mossman (classical guitar, Flamenco), Melody Perez/Karl Zimmer, (singer/songwriter), Lydia Clark Singers (gospel), and a rocking finale featuring Abe & Friends.
Bring a picnic and an ice cooler full of soda pop and water, settle in and enjoy some of the best music you will find anywhere by top artists who plain old like to jam out and share their love for singing and playing.
Headlining the show and featured performers:
* The Jimmy Stadler Band, distinctive rockabilly and Americana. * Manzanares, lively Latin pop mixed in with contemporary salsa and jivey beats. * Ruben Ramos & the Mexican Revolution, brassy and audacious, with a full rich sound.
