NESA CATS Benefit Performance
On Thursday, November 2, 2006, the North East School of the Arts (NESA) will kick off the 2006-2007 10th Year Musical Theatre Series with an opening night benefit performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber's much loved award-winning musical, CATS. NESA is not only the first high school in San Antonio to stage CATS, but this is also the first non-touring production to be seen on any stage in San Antonio, including professional or community theater. This benefit performance will showcase the talents of all NESA majors. In addition there will be refreshments, pre-show entertainment, a special tribute to NESA visionary Lanny Naegelin and an opportunity to meet and greet the cast, in costume, following the show. Proceeds from this benefit will support the new NESA pARTners Artistic Enrichment Fund. NESA pARTners is a 501(c)3 parent organization which supports all NESA programs. pARTners intends to establish this fund and provide support for eligible NESA students to access enhanced training and opportunities beyond the curriculum that NESA provides.
