Free Open House Tickets at Angel Island Family History/Reunion Day 7/19/14
Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation will be covering the cost of the open house of the historic Immigration Station barracks for those attending the Family History/Reunion Day event on July 19. In order to take advantage of our offer, just click on the number of tickets you need and print out the ticket(s) to present at the Immigration Station on that day.
The program will start at 11:30 and go for about an hour. We will feature Lily Tung Crystal's one woman show about Tye Leung Schulze, who served as an interpreter on Angel Island and was the first Chinese American to join the US Civil Service as well as the first Chinese American woman to vote in the U.S. In addition, family historians Kay Speaks, Linda Harms Okazaki, Grant Din and others will share information about their families' experiences on Angel Island and other ports of entry.
After the formal presentations, you can visit the World War II mess hall building to learn more from our presenters and see displays about their family research and at your leisure walk through the Immigration Barracks with its amazing collection of poetry and writings. We plan to have the presenters available until about 3 p.m.

We recommend taking the 10 a.m. ferry so you will have time to get to the program in plenty of time.
