Farmers, Fables & Feasts: A Benefit to Support The Food Project
Date: Thursday, September 18, 2014, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Location: The Boston Athenaeum, 10 1/2 Beacon Street, Boston MA 02108
The Food Project welcomes you to a lively evening of farm fresh food, tales from the farm, and live music at their third annual cocktail party. The event celebrates the remarkable accomplishments that the organization has achieved over the year in developing youth, serving local communities, and stewarding over 40 acres of farmland in the greater Boston region.
The event will also pay tribute to Byron Hurt; filmmaker, writer, and activist, by honoring him with The Food Project Leadership Award for 2014. Mr. Hurt's latest film, Soul Food Junkies, premiered on the PBS Emmy award-winning series, Independent Lens, and has been the recipient of a CNN documentary award.
Please join in an evening of Farmers, Fables, and Feasts and help support The Food Project endeavors!
